Dr. Parbatee Jagassar obtained her B.A. and M.A. in Chemistry from Queens College, an M.Phil., and a Ph.D. in Chemistry specializing in Nanotechnology and Materials Science from The Graduate Center, City University of New York.

Before starting as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Queens College, she worked on quantum dots synthesis projects and ceramic processing of ferroelectric materials to study microwave characteristics. Dr. Jagassar also published her discoveries on synthesizing transition-metal nanoparticles and their coordination chemistry with Ru(II) diimine complexes for solar energy conversion. Having worked previously as a Materials Scientist for a petroleum-based chemical company, she developed patented technologies for oil well stimulations and enhanced recovery.

With over eighteen years of knowledge, education, and skills from academic research and the industrial sector, Dr. Jagassar now serves as a Scientist, Consultant, President, and Founder at JusNano Inc., where she provides confidential and professional services in nanotechnology and materials science.
